Anthony Joshua Released from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Tragic Car Crash
Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople confirmed on Wednesday night. The fighter was caught in a vehicular crash outside Lagos on the 29th of December, a horrific crash that resulted in the deaths of two of his valued colleagues.
Healing from Light Wounds
The boxer had been under observation while healing from his light wounds, his management team stated earlier on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update online that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to “recuperate at home”.
“The boxer and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two departed friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” Omotosho said.
Honoring the Deceased
The victims of the crash were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. It was also noted that the athlete was heartbroken and overcome with emotion over the loss of his two trusted companions.”
His release from the hospital arrives after the global fight fans offered condolences for the star in the following the heartbreaking incident.
